Start off with the basic knowledge you need to sell Puerto Rico: key attractions, accommodations and meeting facilities; along with leading options for families, couples, singles and active travelers. Successfully completing the General Course earns you certification as a Puerto Rico Travel Expert (PRTE). It also makes you eligible to join the Discover Puerto Rico Reward program, a points-based travel agent loyalty program with rewards ranging from gift cards to FAM trips.

Once you’ve mastered the basics, learn to serve your clients better with in-depth knowledge of Puerto Rico’s rich options for scuba divers, golfers, outdoor and adventure lovers, destination wedding and honeymoon clients, cruise visitors and more. After completing the Master's Course, you will be certified as a Master Graduate. U.S. travel agents certified by The Travel Institute are eligible for up to 4 Continuing Education Units upon completion of both the General Course and Master's Course. Members of the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA) are eligible for 3 credits.
