Cruise Planners held a fam trip for travel advisors onboard the Windstar Star Pride.
The trip was led by Cruise Planners’ vice president of sales Ana Parodi who took 28 travel advisors on the cruise, which sailed roundtrip from Reykjavik, Iceland.
Travel advisors, who documented the journey on the Cruise Planners’ blog, enjoyed the intimate onboard experience facilitated by Windstar's small-ship experience. There were just 300 guests onboard the Star Pride.
Some of the highlights onboard the Star Pride, according to attendees, included the spacious accommodations, walk-in closets and bathrooms with double sinks. The advisors also loved the variety of cuisine that featured dishes by award-winning Chef James Beard.
Something else that made a lasting impression on advisors was the engagement with the crew and the captain, who personally greeted guests on the gangway as they embarked.
The ship circumnavigated the island nation providing guests with some amazing experiences in remote fjords, small fishing villages and more.
Windstar offers the Around Iceland itinerary onboard the Star Pride, calling in Surtsey Island, Heimaey Island, Seydisfjordur, Akureyri, Isafjordur, and Grundarfjordur before its final call in Reykjavik.
