Orlando uses Eastern Standard Time and switches its clocks one hour forward during Daylight Savings Time. This is to preserve daylight hours during winter when days are short.

Orlando has a humid subtropical climate. This climate type is defined by humid, hot summers, and mild winters. So it doesn’t get very cold during winter and you shouldn’t expect to see snow.

There are two main seasons in Orlando –  one hot and rainy season (June through September), and one humid and dry season (October through May).
