Young explorers can take advantage of a wonderful learning experience when they visit Tahiti with Paul Gauguin Cruises.

The program, tailored to children ages 6-15, is offered by Paul Gauguin in collaboration with Te mana o te moana, a South Pacific marine education and conservation foundation. The program is designed so that children can have hands-on, interactive activities both onboard and on shore and it showcases the natural wonders and unique cultures of the South Pacific.

Dates for 2024 and 2025 have been announced and 2025 will be the fifth year of the partnership between Paul Gauguin and Te mana o te moana.

“In 2025, we will mark a milestone fifth year of our exclusive partnership with Te mana o te moana, which continues to offer our young explorers authentically enriching experiences throughout the Islands of Tahiti,” said Susan Robison, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, for Paul Gauguin Cruises. “From learning about the care and protection of sea turtles, to playing beach “Survivor” games to hiking volcanic mountains, and snorkeling in pristine lagoons, the program goes far beyond the formulaic structure of traditional children’s programs and provides memories they will forever cherish.”

There are 10 cruises offered in 2024 and 11 dedicated sailings in 2025. The program is unique to the journey and children have a variety of activities to engage in, including exploring underwater life, conducting water experiments, creating natural jewelry, going on a treasure hunt, learning about Tahitian culture, discovering island legends and geology, designing a Polynesian tattoo, and more.

“We are thrilled that our partnership with Paul Gauguin Cruises is continuing for a fifth year in 2025, especially as the line shares our deep devotion to preserving the unique culture, wildlife, and wilderness of French Polynesia,” said Hélène Duran, General Manager at Te mana o te moana. “We appreciate the opportunity to have direct, hands-on engagement with these younger guests aboard The Gauguin as we recognize that today’s youngsters are tomorrow’s custodians of our planet.”

The program is available on select dates during the summer and winter holidays. Visit Paul Gauguin Cruises to find the exact dates and itineraries.
