Delta Air Lines announced it would be forced to cancel additional flights to Israel due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The Atlanta-based carrier canceled all flights between Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport scheduled to depart between November 1-15, with sales of those flights suspended.

Delta also revealed that while booking was suspended earlier this month for Tel Aviv flights to and from Atlanta and Boston, the airline will cancel all flights between these markets starting on November 1.

“Delta is continuously monitoring the rapidly evolving security environment and assessing our operations based on security guidance and intelligence reports, including the most recent U.S. State Department travel advisory,” a Delta spokesperson said.

“While we remain committed to assisting those needing travel, Delta will continue making schedule adjustments, including additional cancellations on a rolling basis, as needed for the safety of our customers and crew,” the statement continued.

As cancellations are processed, impacted travelers will receive notifications via the Fly Delta app and contact information listed in their reservation.

The carrier issued a travel waiver for customers who booked travel before October 11 to or from Israel, giving them the chance to rebook travel on available flights through September 6, 2024. Impacted passengers can also request a full refund

Earlier this week, the United States Department of State issued updated information for Americans traveling in the Middle East amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, including information on charter flights out of Tel Aviv this week.

The latest guidance comes just four days after officials issued a worldwide caution for U.S. citizens traveling abroad.
