VANTIVA Demonstrates Carrier Grade Wi-Fi 7 Home Gateway Demonstration at Broadband World Forum

Push the limits

VANTIVA’s Wi-Fi Gateway 7 is among the first CPE manufacturers to move from theory to reality. VANTIVA’s demonstration at BBWF 2022 will showcase a fully integrated solution that will bring Wi-Fi 7 to homes around the world.

VANTIVA (formerly known as Technicolor) will showcase the world’s first carrier-grade Wi-Fi 7 home gateway at Network X/Broadband World Forum (BBWF) 2022. VANTIVA’s Wi-Fi 7 gateway demo shows the power of this new wireless technology by extending the operating bandwidth up to 320 MHz and featuring 4096 quadrature amplitude modulation or 4K QAM which together rival the speeds offered by Ethernet cables. It represents a step change in home wireless broadband connectivity that will enable a wide range of new experiences, such as metaverse, immersive gaming, and 4K and 8K video streaming.

As demand for these next-generation services grows, Network Service Providers (NSPs) will come under increasing pressure to deliver customer-premises equipment (CPE) capable of delivering ultra-high bandwidth and low latency to and inside the home.

“The industry has been talking about the possibilities of Wi-Fi 7 for some time now. VANTIVA’s Wi-Fi 7 Gateway is one of the first CPE manufacturers to move from theory to reality,” said Ashwani Saigal, Vice President of Broadband Products Unit, VANTIVA.

“VANTIVA’s demonstration at BBWF 2022 will showcase a fully integrated solution that will bring Wi-Fi 7 to homes around the world, including: housing integration, mechanical design, antenna design and placement, components, software, and thermal attenuation in the premium device support needed for next-generation services and applications in the home,” he added.

The gateway offers all the benefits of Wi-Fi 7, with multi-link operation (MLO) that allows client devices to simultaneously connect to 2.5, 5 and 6 Ghz radios. This capability creates multiple links on different bands to simultaneously transmit data packets to improve latency and data throughput. MLO also enables the gateway to provide uninterrupted connectivity in areas with high interference and congestion.

VANTIVA’s Wi-Fi Gateway 7 takes full advantage of the spectrum made available by the emerging standard, increasing channel utilization efficiency by avoiding channels with interference to maximize bandwidth.

VANTIVA experts and executives will be on hand to discuss and explain the key features included in this next-generation gateway. To see the VANTIVA Wi-Fi Gateway 7 demo, visit Hall 8, Stand 4 (8.B4) at RAI, Amsterdam, during Network X with the Broadband World Forum.
